Introduction:

This Water Cycle Webquest is a fun and interactive way to introduce students to water and how it moves from the surface of the Earth back to the surface of the Earth.

This Webquest is a second-grade study on the water cycle and three key aspects of the water cycle: evaporation, condensation, and precipitation.

Students must know how to navigate the internet, be given login information for Seesaw, and know how to hold "ctrl & prt sc" to take a picture of a computer screen, as well as how to paste that image into a Word Document.

 D. EARTH AND SPACE SCIENCE

  • Objects in the Sky: The sun provides light and heat necessary to maintain Earth's temperature.

  • Changes in the Earth and Sky: Weather changes from day to day and over the seasons.

The student can explain the water cycle process, which has three key terms: evaporation, condensation, and precipitation with 100 percent accuracy.

The teacher must be aware that most water cycles contain higher levels of education and content such as groundwater, runoff, and specific cloud types. The Water Cycle Webquest will be a step towards further education for students.

It would be helpful for the students to work in a computer lab together. Students can complete the tasks on the computers in the classroom, but students will have to learn to take turns. It would be clever for the students to work in intervals on the Webquest so that they don't get bored and restless. The Webquest is fun and engaging, but it is not created to be completed during one sitting.

The teacher divides the students into groups of three or four to read a passage to one another and watch a video together. Each student will gather and learn information about the Water Cycle through reading, a video, and an interactive quiz. The final assessment is a labeling activity in Seesaw.
